Ollama is a local-first AI that lets me experiment with artificial intelligence without huge environmental costs. I download models to my laptop, around 20gb each, depending on what I’m working on. It’s great for simple tasks, experimentation, and learning more about AI tools. I’m cautiously optimistic about this technology and love having the option to use it locally. It’s a fun and practical tool that gives me new ways to approach problems.
